VINTAGE Mid Century Etalage MagiClock, Sonic Industries, Inc. Works!

Model 146. This was made by Sonic Industries, Inc., New York13, NY. The mystery here is that there appears to be no obvious way to make the hands move. Unlike the Jefferson Golden Hour clock, there's not even a weight or gears to drive the hour hand from the minute hand. The dial frame and back is made of a cast brass. There are 12 countersunk circles 1/4" in diameter to indicate the hours. The back plate is held in place by four screws in the corners. The black base containing the motor is Bakelite. Good condition, some scratches, scuffs and dirt—works! There is also some tarnish on the brass. See photos for details. Measurements shown in photos. SKU:O
