VINTAGE JAPANESE KABAZAIKU HANDCRAFTED WOOD CHERRY BARK LIDDED BOX CONTAINER NEW

Vintage, new in box, Japanese, handcrafted, wild cherry wood bark, lidded container. Known as Kabazaiku (literally "birch craftsmanship") is the traditional Japanese art of fashioning tea boxes, smoking accessories, and other woodworks out of the bark of a cherry tree. This piece is crafted in the Akita Prefecture. The interior appears to be lined in black lacquer. (See photos for details.) I am the original owner as it was purchased in Japan.
