VINTAGE HERMES BROWN LEATHER FLAP HANDBAG

VINTAGE - HERMES - BROWN LEATHER FLAP HANDBAG.. This was made exclusively for Bonwit Teller back in the late 60's. The only place you could purchase it was at Bonwit Teller unless you were an employee of Hermes. Bonwit Teller closed its doors back in 1979 when Trump bought the building to build TT. Bonwit Teller did open a new store in TT but closed under a section 10 bankruptcy in 2000. Ergo this bag has history behind it. Excellent condition looks brand new. Used 3 times and stored in a storage container with tissue paper. This is considered a flap bag as there is a flap that falls over the front and secured with a gold metal clasp, the shoulder strap also has gold metal bits that connect the straps to the bag. The interior is lined in brown, has a zippered pouch and an open leather pouch on the opposite side, with a full center for your items. Brown leather. MEASUREMENTS: 10" length, 7" height, 2" wide empty, 13" strap length.
