VINTAGE FACETED PURPLE GLASS BUTTON CLIP ON EARRINGS

Vintage faceted purple glass clip on earrings. I'm not 100% that the purple is glass, but it feels and sounds like it and these are at least 50 years old. The center is a clear stone with many facets that reflect different shades of purple depending on how much light passes through. The setting is shiny gold tone. The center stone is held in place by 8 prongs. The back of the stone is open to allow more light on the stone. There is no maker's mark or other stamp, so I believe this is gold tone. In excellent preowned condition. 1" diameter. 7/8 high. I am decluttering my late Grandmother's collection.
