No serial tag? That’s actually a feature — not a flaw. Before Dooney introduced interior registration tags and woven “Made in U.S.A.” labels (around 1986), their earliest satchels were completely hand-constructed and untagged. These early bags are highly collectible because they mark the start of Dooney’s iconic AWL line — built from thick, durable pebbled leather with solid brass hardware and duck fobs that have stood the test of time.
