VINTAGE 1990s EMILIA CASTILLO SILVER BLACK CERAMIC TOUCAN SUGAR BOWL CREAMER

This rare set was purchased in Taxco, Mexico, at the artist's studio in the 1990's. One owner. By famed Mexican artist Emilia Castillo, we have a creamer and sugar bowl of matte black smooth ceramic with hand-applied pure silver overlay. Each piece features toucan birds in profile with leaf decoration and a sprinkling of small flowers and dragonflies. The sugar bowl has a corresponding lid with a spoon cutout (spoon not included). Marked EMILIA CASTILLO; PLATA PURA; MEXICO M.R. on the bottoms of each piece. Each measures 2 1/2 inches tall and 3 3/4 inches wide. These have never been used for dining, only displayed as art pieces. The silver shows patina due to age. I have polished them a bit by hand, but if you wish to buff them completely I'll leave that up to you. No chips, scratches, or silver loss. My home is smoke free.
