The image shows the April 1, 1961, cover of The Saturday Evening Post. The cover art is a painting by Norman Rockwell titled "The Golden Rule". The painting depicts people of different religions, races, and ethnicities standing together, with the inscription "Do Unto Others As You Would Have Them Do Unto You". Rockwell was inspired to create the work after reading about comparative religion and discovering that the Golden Rule is a common theme in all major faiths. The original oil painting is part of the permanent collection at the Norman Rockwell Museum in Massachusetts.
The magazine also features an article titled "My Adventures Among the U.S. Senators" by Dean Acheson. Acheson was an American statesman and lawyer who served as the United States Secretary of State under President Harry S. Truman from 1949 to 1953. He played a central role in shaping American foreign policy during the Cold War. Great condition
