Outstanding, VICTORIAN Etruscan Revival, Gold Plate, Taille D'épargne Dangle, Double Chatelaine Brooch. Two detailed and dimensional brooches are connected by two 7 1/2" Belcher Chains. The dangle brooch measures 2 1/4" x 2 " x 1/4" deep, and the round brooch measures 1" in diameter x 3/8" deep. Both have secure early rollover clasps. Both brooches have a gold plate base with Etruscan designs, accented with Black Taille d'épargne Enamel. Taille d’épargne, sometimes referred to as black enamel tracery, was very popular during the 1850s-1860s. Excellent condition. This Etruscan Style Dangle Chatelaine Brooch has no metal wear or grunge. Polish to satisfaction. This 1920s chatelaine brooch may be worn in many ways: * As attachments on cloaks/shawls * As an accent straddling low cut tops on both front or back to accent plunging V or U attire. * To one side of blazer or coat. * Hang from the waist as an adornment.
