This stunning choker necklace, designed by Ingrid Cusson in the 1980s, is in excellent condition. The necklace features two entwined gold-tone herringbone serpentine chains and an attractive clasp. The large, finely-crafted curb (flat style) chains dazzle when they catch the light. At 16-inches, the necklace sits at the base of the neck near the top of the collarbone and is smooth and comfortable.
Though the metal is untested, it is likely Gold Plate over brass, a metal-combination that Cusson favored. The brushed metal clasp can optionally be worn in front, for an Art Deco or Egyptian Revival look.
Ingrid Cusson designed this glamorous necklace in New York in the 1980s, before she left jewelry design to pursue a successful photography career. Because of her relatively short jewelry design career, her creations are highly sought after by collectors.
