To all my PFF’s: I am dealing with bladder cancer. There is no one in my area capable of handling it. I will be heading to Houston on Oct 19th for answers & treatment. lismiley1My cancer has been diagnosed as stage 2 but I have 1 abnormal lymph node which will be biopsied next Thursday. If cancer is detected, it will be stage 3. Chemo will begin within a week of that biopsy will surgery after that.

lismiley11st round of chemo complete! Infusion took 5 hrs for those drugs. I’m currently going thru 15 hrs of post hydration to flush my kidneys. The final chemo drug is very toxic to kidneys. As soon as that is done I can go home. So far no nausea or any side effects. Praying that the remaining rounds are the same!

lismiley1@samanthamae2660 I am feeling ok. Just mainly sluggish all the time. I got hit hard this past Monday with symptoms but it cleared in a day. I’m sure as subsequent treatments are given, my symptoms will intensify. All I can do is take it one day at time and hope for the best. Thank you for asking!

lismiley1Completed round 2 of chemo this past week. This time side effects hit sooner. Had to be in a wheelchair for our daughters college graduation yesterday, But I didn’t care. I was NOT about to miss that happy day. Still feeling sluggish today. Not looking forward to my remaining treatments.

lismiley1Had my surgery on 3/24 and all went well. Cancer appeared to be contained in my bladder only. Surgeon was very confident with that. But we’ll know for sure when pathology results come out in 3-6 wks. Got released from hospital on day 5. Stayed in Houston for addtl 3 days as a precaution. Heading home tomorrow.
