Upcycled & Embellished Blue Plaid Shirt/Tunic

A blue and white plaid shirt has been upcycled into a sweet and sassy ruffled tunic! Paired with the navy blue is a coral pink lightweight fabric used along the hem for a nice long flouncy ruffle. At the shoulder, along the back of the shirt a portion of the upcycled pink shirt has been stitched to accentuate the machine embroidery and tasseled edge. The collar has a sweet vintage flower trim in a pale pink along the edge. Down the front of the shirt are metal buttons and the sleeves feature inner flaps and buttons to hold the rolled cuffs. Or you can leave the three quarter length sleeves down should the weather cool. The length makes it great as a shirt or a tunic over tighter fitting pants. This is a great piece for your funky, boho, shabby, hippie, farmhouse, rustic, cowgirl wardrobe! Measures: The original garment tag states - size XL. I have been reworking garments and using vintage fabrics in my clothing creations for many, many years. I work hard to hunt down materials, find the cast-off clothing (some old, some new but unwanted), clean, and repair all items before recreating them!
