Food Chopper Grinder Universal No. 1 1899 Patent LF&C New Britain Connecticut USA. In Good Condition. Some of the lettering is worn and hard to read. Large antique cast iron food grinder made by FEC New Britain in Connecticut, USA. It has several patent dates on it, depending on the country. These patent dates range from 1897 to 1900. It has a hard wood handle knob that is in great condition, and rotates as it should. The handle rotates easily as it should, and the "corkscrew" mechanism works as it should as well. The table clamp and clamp bolt are in good workable condition. This item is quite heavy. With the handle in the down position, it measures about 11 inches tall, is about 9 to 9 1/2 inches long (at the handle knob), and is about 3 inches wide.
