The work references my extensive background in textiles and interest in sensory experiences to spark memory. It captures what I consider the beauty of place, everyday life, domestic refuge, and simplicity. Each piece includes found objects that trigger some personal significance or emotion, and the presence of the objects connects to memories, identity and history. My process of repurposing these objects and combining it with the viewer's participation ultimately creates an artwork with communal and unexpected elements.”
