maremurphy @sandymyers2 SPCA IS AWESOME. My first dog Jake was a rescue from SPCA He was left in an abandon house being trained to be a fighter dog. He was half Shepard and half Rhodesian ridgeback. He was 15 and we had to put him down last May. Miss him badly. This guy sort of found us. My husband past 4 yrs ago and he always use to say when I go I want to come back as a Jake. Lol. We'll 2 weeks after my husband past Murph showed up outside with my grandchildren. We couldn't find his owner so we took him to the SPCA hoping someone would claim him after 7 days they called us and said no one did and that they were putting him down because he is part pit bull. No way was that happening so that's the story of his rescue. Love him to pieces Sorry long story Lol. He's a sweetie pie. 💝

That's the sad part of being in shelters there's a reason he was there nd ppl do abuse animals ..which is sad but I'm glad there's people like u that rescue them from there instead of buying them from people who only have doggies to reproduce not cool not cool. But have a wonderful day miss.love ur best friend cuz he will always stand by u even when others dnt I sure kmow that :)

briewineposh Awww so glad you recused! Thank you! Pitts get the worse rep and they're not even merited. Chance will be a panting, shivering, pacing mess all weekend. Fireworks are even worse for him. closetenvy2 @maremurphy @linmp1031 It's so good to know you both are animal rescuers also. I've been doing it for 4 yrs now. I take pics at our local shelter, post them on their FB page that a few of us set up and find rescues to take the unadoptable animals. Pits can't be adopted out in our city which is overrun with pits. Every other cage is a pitbull. I think we only find rescues for about 10% of them and it's hard work just to find those. It's basically one rescue taking all of them. Pit are the #1 friendliest breed in the shelter. I've got two pit mixes myself. Now I do come across pits that are super aggressive, but they're almost always either fighting dogs or severely abused or unsocialized. I've never once been bit by a pitbull and have to go in mile cages every week. I've been bit by chihuahuas, dachshunds and min pins the most...esp chihuahuas. Man, they can be difficult, lol! Rescue work 8 exhausting. I'm in the middle of a burnout, but hopefully it will pass. If you do rescue on FB you def know what I mean by burnout. I get so sick of all the backstabbing and childish behavior in the rescue world. Even the group of ladies I do this with drive me insane talking about other rescuers. Every rescue handles things differently. Let it go...ugh! I used to be transport coordinator for SNARR, a special needs rescue in Louisiana. I just couldn't handle all the drama. It wasn't from SHARE people but their so-called supporters. It's ridiculous! I'm done, lol.

maremurphy @closetenvy2 I WITH YA SISTER. I HAD 3 dogs but my rescued Rhodesian mix was 16 and got very tired and had to help him over the Rainbow bridge. Theses guys are super. My buds no matter what. Thank you for you work in rescue. It's a special gift. 🌹❤️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.
