In excellent pre-owned condition I purchased and ended up being a little too tight to wear with thick socks. If you wear a 6 in the Classic short or classic tall boots, I'd suggest going up to a 7 in this style. They were however super warm even with thin socks, and I live in Wisconsin where -30° actual temp, not wind chill, is no big deal. I can't speak for the Event Waterproof fabric as I never got them wet.
