Here is a beautiful silver-plated Christmas Tree stamp ornament, surrounded by/in the shape of a lovely snowflake. Issued by the USPS in 1990, as the cover of the little 7-page booklet says, you can read about why this stamp ornament is special in terms of how many were issued, where it came from, etc. It is the contemporary (as opposed to the traditional) Christmas Tree design by Maryland artist Libby Thiel (noted on box top, and reflected by the abbreviation "C" on ornament back). The stamp itself says "GREETINGS" and reflects the price of a stamp in 1990 at 25 cents (this price was in effect from April 3, 1988 to February 2, 1991). Photos 4-5 show close-up of informational stamp on back.
The ornament is brand-new-in box/BNIB, and UNSEALED (for collectors!). The last 3 photos show the unbroken seal.
As it is silver-plated, you can see 30+ years of tarnish on it, which should shine up beautifully with a little silver polish!
Photos 8-9 show approximate measurements, 3" across at widest point, and 3.75" in total length, top to bottom.
The box top has a few spots on it, as can be seen in photos. Ornament comes with the pretty red ribbon hanger, also seen in photos.
