USN Chief Petty Officer Pin WWII era

USN chief petty officer pin. Not sure of the metal it is made of no markings I could find .It is stamped N.S Meyer New York with shield on the back. This stamp was used by the company in the 30s-40s. I believe that the actual pin on back may be a replacement as most pins from this era use a screw back. Sold as is, it has not been cleaned.
