U.S. Navy Vintage Peacoat with Gold Buttons 100% Kersey Wool Size 38. From 1966

U.S. Navy peacoat made from 100% Kersey wool. Kersey wool is a smooth midnight blue wool. The green corduroy lining in the front pockets of the coat was made in 1966. The Gold Eagle buttons indicate the coat was worn by an officer. 1966 also was the last year that the cuffs officially had double stitching, 3" above cuffs. Inside tag has size and military reference numbers. front of jacket and both sleeves have wear/ holes possibly from moths, more heavily the left sleeve and cuff. Has initials and marker on inside tag. Clothing may show wear so I’ve supplied several pictures, but I try to include any noticeable wear or flaws in my descriptions.
