US NAVAL ACADEMY Wool Vintage Bridge Coat Peacoat Full Length Military Black 42L

This is a vintage bridge coat from the US Naval Academy in a size 42L. Black with gold toned buttons that I believe are brass. They were made by a button company in Waterbury Connecticut. Double breasted. Incredibly heavy and warm. There is a slit at the back, but this has buttons to button closed. Two exterior pockets and at least one interior pocket. Comes with shoulder boards that denotes a midshipman with some leadership responsibilities. Very classic and sharp looking coat that is sure to keep you warm. I’ve looked online trying to date it and think it falls anywhere from the 1950s-1970s as my best guess. I do see a zipper on the interior which suggests there was once an additional lining that zipped in. This is the only ‘flaw’ I see with the coat. It is in gorgeous condition.
