This visor cap is personally identified to Colonel Eugene Clark Camp, U.S. Army. Col. Camp served more than 32 years on active duty (retiring in 1973 as G-1, Fifth Army at Fort Sam Houston). He was a Pearl Harbor survivor, manning an anti-aircraft gun with the 251st Coast Artillery on December 7, 1941, later commissioned through OCS in 1943, and went on to command infantry in the Pacific Theater. He was among the earliest U.S. advisors in Vietnam, and his distinguished career earned him three Legions of Merit, two Bronze Stars, and the Combat Infantryman Badge. Col. Camp was inducted into the U.S. Army OCS Hall of Fame in 2007 and remained active in veterans’ and community organizations in San Antonio until his passing in 2013. Small moth hole and small stain on the visor. Feel free to message me and all offers welcomed.
