I get the impression that they are actual jeans that were cut into shorts but it was very well done. it has a single button and zipper closure. two front pockets, coin pocket, and two back pockets, they have a little bit of stretch. the waist measures 16 in, the rise measures 10 and 3/4 in, and the inseam measures 4 in.
