SAINT MATTHEW'S EXISTS IN THE WORD AS A VISIBLE EXPRESSION OF GOD'S LOVE. ORIGINAL CHURCH 1887-1968 Approximate size: 4.5" x 4.5" x 4.25" See pictures and video as part of the description. This box is the only one I have that has hinges on the top to completely open the box. These candle boxes were hand crafted and sold by my grandpa in the 1980's. We were recently cleaning out his house and found 80 in the basement and barns, some in pieces, some complete. I completed each box and sold them at craft shows this fall. These are the remaining few boxes. He hand-crafted each part, from picking the most "interesting" pieces of wood (knots and worm holes were favorites of his), to cutting the plexiglass pieces. He created the screens and screened and painted each piece of glass individually. He was a very talented woodworker (among other great qualities). Here is your chance to own a piece of his gift! Each box is uniquely hand-crafted and not mass produced therefore there will be imperfections to each piece. The first 8 boxes sold will come with a white gift box that are new but some have dust, dirt and fingerprints on them. Each piece will come with a battery-operated tea light. Enjoy!
