UNIQUE 1930s' BEIGE STRAW & GROSGRAIN ASYMMETRICAL HAT + FABRIC "DAISIES"

This is an unusual and beautiful millinery creation from the fabulous 30's. The half straw, half grosgrain hat is shaped and folded into an asymmetrical look, covering one eye as was the fashion of the day. The brim is upturned at one side and downturned at the other side. There are beautiful white and yellow fabric "daisies" and green leaves from the center front to one side. There is an elastic band attached to the inside of the hat to help keep it in place. This is a most wonderful one of a kind hat! Women’s 1930s hats were small and simple in decoration, yet their shaping was a work of art. Folded, molded, and angled felt made hats look like something out of a Picasso painting.
