UNCONDITIONAL was founded by famed fashion PR powerhouse, Philip Stephens in 2003 from the studio of his fashion consultancy CONCRETE. What started off as a capsule collection of men’s knitwear and jersey sold in his Concrete shop grew into the international acclaimed mixed label that took London Street culture to the runway. UNCONDITIONAL was a name stay on the official London fashion week schedule for 8 seasons with multiple seasons in New York, Shanghai & Amsterdam. Known for his unique take on draping androgynous streetwear with a high fashion twist, UNCONDITIONAL has become a best kept secret for a listers, tastemakers and cultural influencers that has spanned fashion, music & Art. Tragically in August 2020, Philip Stephens unexpectedly died leaving the label and its loyal clients in a state of mourning. UNCONDITIONAL has launched “The Archive” to further celebrate the work of our designer and much loved founder with one-off show pieces and never before seen items being sold for the very first time. Philip’s future vision for the label was always to evolve towards a more sustainable future that was kinder to the planet which has now become the founding principles for the new creative team. No one could design & curate UNCONDITIONAL like our much-loved creator Philip Stephens and so the future of our label will evolve into something new that will honour his visionary talent.
