Set of 2 Gist-Brocades Delft Blue Lidded Bowls – Hand-Painted – 5.5" – 8 oz Capacity Beautiful matching set of two hand-painted ceramic bowls with lids, made by Gist-brocades and decorated in the classic Delft Blue style. Each piece features a detailed blue floral and bird motif on a white background. These bowls are perfect for holding trinkets, spices, jewelry, keepsakes, candy, or as display decor. These bowls have a diameter of 5.5 inches, they are 2 inches high without the lid, 2.5 inches high with the lid, and have an approximately 8 ounce capacity. One lid has a noticeable chip on the rim (see close-up photos). There is some light crazing consistent with age. The crazing on the on the interior base, is most visible when wet (see photos). No cracks or structural damage Overall good vintage condition with minor expected wear from age. The price is indicative of the above defects. Turn the chip to the back and you'll never notice! These pieces are ideal for collectors of Delftware, blue-and-white ceramics, or vintage Dutch pottery.
