1. The sparkling faceted beads strung on a silver chain look like crystal, owing to their refractive power, sharp facets, and cool touch. About 17".
The tiny bullet-shaped clasp, stamped "Kremnetz," suggests aerodynamic modernism, possibly 1960s.
The chain and clasp are presumably stainless steel.
This fine New Jersey-based company flourished for about a century, producing quality costume jewelry in addition to designs using precious metals and gemstones.
Here, the delicate construction and quality crystals should confer value beyond that of the nonprecious materials. The silvertone chain gives the heavy crystals ballast, room to move, and possibly a longer life.
It's a pretty, solid little necklace.
2. Genuine period necklace from a grudging 1960s tradwife. About 19". Flawed.
One of the original three strands has broken from its, er, chains. The scattered crystals are included here, but may not include all that were on the strand.
The two strands that remain are wearable.
Crystals are very sparkly, but feel like a synthetic material. 66 grams total.
The necklace resembles others sold online and described as "Aurora Borealis" but there is no maker's stamp.
Hoping someone can repurpose them.
