Turquoise Magnasite Necklace, Multi Strand Wrapped Wire Chain

This double strand turquoise Magnasite necklace is a burst of turquoise added to your jewelry collection. The stones are Magnasite (naturally white) which have been dyed to the fresh, bright turquoise of a desert sky. The findings are sterling silver plated over brass (links) or steel (the clasp). Magnasite is a sedimentary stone, just like Turquoise. Instead of the copper and aluminum that give Turquoise it's signature color, Magnasite is formed in magnesium-rich environments resulting in shades of cream and beige. It's a little bit softer than Turquoise which makes it ideal for carving, and it can be dyed beautifully. In this case, it is a beautiful turquoise. Our turquoise Magnasite necklace measures approximately 20 inches along the top (shorter) strand. The longer strand measures just over 22 inches so there is a nice difference in drop between the two.
