Trident Pickle/Olive Fork - Victorian - Pearl Handle - Sterling & Silver Plate

This Victorian piece has a grape vine pattern on front & back, a lovely iridescent pearl handle, and a sterling silver ferrule. Small gouge on back of mother-of-pearl handle but it looks natural to the shell the handle was made from. Used for stabbing olives & pickles, this piece shows wear that’s typical of old serving utensils. It has a great patina. To keep tarnish away, after using, gently wash & dry, wrap in cloth then store in a plastic baggie. Keeping air out will help to prevent tarnish from accumulating. Smoke-free & pet-free home. No maker’s mark found.
