This a rare opportunity to buy a new-in-package white “Mid Summer Light”contemporary lamp covering designed by Tord Boontje, a Dutch Industrial Designer based in London. In 2002 the “Midsummer light” and , “Garland” lightbulb coverings were released by Artecnica, now out of stock for a long time are Design classics. This package was purchased in 2004. Widely collected, and included in the permanent design Art collections,of the MOMA Art museum NYC, and the Victoria and Albert museum, London. Tord Boontje attended Eindhoven design Academy, and the Royal College of Art, London. He is known for these delicate Lacey cutouts which cover bare light bulbs (advised to use LED, or 60 watt bulbs) :and cast magical shadows. The lamp come in a flat rectangle package 15”X30”. When fully opened up and installed the lamp hangs 58”X41(according to research on the internet). There are instructions on how to install it on the internet. The material is sturdy cut white Tyvek.
