Tony Aguilar Jr Orange Spiny Oyster Necklace

Santo Domingo Pueblo Kewa artist Tony Aguilar Jr sadly passed from Covid during the pandemic. He made this necklace in the 1990's. It features a large oval concho style pendant which is hand stamped, with an oval orange spiny oyster shell in the center. The pendant measures 2 inches long by 1 3/4 inches wide not including the bail. The bail is hand stamped and measures 1 inch. The 6 strand necklace is orange spiny oyster nuggets finished with small sterling silver beads and hand made cones and clasp. It is signed with the Aguilar family bench mark. A work of art for those who appreciate Kewa jewelry.
