michaelsmom1001 @cassabella2 hi! They are in good condition- hard plastic and I have run them through dishwasher so sterilized. The dolphins sit in the individual rings and then the rings hook together to make the big ring

michaelsmom1001 @cassabella2 they don't really play music - as it said on the box You tap them on the head and they make a squeaky sound - different pitches- My son liked it more for the matching and hooking them together. It is definitely entertaining for bath time!
