It’s a puffy-flannel hybrid, combining the best of these worlds: you get the weight and feel of wool, and the warmth of the technical puffy. On the top you get a blown-in insulation layer for abrasion resistance, with the DWR water repellent finish you’d expect of a technical jacket. Plus, there are plenty of pockets throughout, including stash pockets and zippered hidden pockets. The wool is Italian and 49% recycled, and yes, the jacket has some heft to it.
