You can remove the tall section (Velcro and the strap wrap around the bottom) to reveal short booties! I bought these back sometime around 2011/2012 and maybe wore them once. I am not a heel person, but I fell in love with these, especially because they are generous in the calves, unlike many tall boots. There is an elastic piece in the back, and of course you can adjust the Velcro for some extra space too. EUC, like I said, worn once possibly twice tops. Some scratching in the leather from living in the back of my closet for 13 or so years. Bought directly from Timberland online at the time. Sad to see them go (I still think they are amazing) but trying to be realistic since I never wear heels. My loss is your gain!
