Tiffin Franciscan 1960s Laurel 4 Gold Encrusted Cocktail Coupe Glasses, 4x3.5”
Great vintage condition consistent with its age. Pictures are part of the description, please check them & let me know if you require additional ones.
Defects & imperfections - please check pictures made under the bright light & magnification: a tiny flea bite on the bottom edge of two glasses, practically unnoticeable in real life.
Fun Facts:
•The laurel motif symbolizes victory and celebration — fitting for toasts!
• Originally, coupes were designed for champagne (starting in the 1700s), but their shallow bowl actually isn’t ideal for preserving bubbles. Over time, flutes and tulips took over for champagne, and coupes found new life as glamorous cocktail glasses.
• These days they’re very popular for:
- Classic cocktails like the Daiquiri, Sidecar, Manhattan, French 75, and Martini.
- Serving sparkling wine in a nostalgic way.
- Serving desserts, like sorbet or layered parfaits.
Dimensions: 4 x 3.5 in
Weight: 10 oz
