2 piece carving set including a sterling silver serving handled knife and fork in the Shell & Thread pattern by Tiffany & Co with monogram. Monogram appears to be C The Shell & Thread pattern was introduced in 1905 and continues to be one of the most in-demand of Tiffany's classic patterns. The design features a raised edge around the handle, a shell motif on the front and back of the handle. Does not include Tiffany box or pouch. Fork measures approx 8 3/4" long, 7/8" wide across tines. Knife measures approx 10 1/4" long, 7/8" wide across blade. Weighs approx 164.4g, 105.7dwt total Both fork and knife handles are marked TIFFANY & CO on one side of the handle, STERLING on the other side of the handle. The knife is also marked TIFFANY & CO on one side of the blade and PROCESS PAT NO. 2147079 MADE BY CASE on the other side of the blade.
