Geometric ring designed by Paloma Picasso for Tiffany Co.
Beautiful piece, created at the Tiffany Studios in New York city by Paloma Picasso, back in the late 1980's. This geometric band ring has been carefully crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats, with high polished finish.
Mounted on top in three flat bezel settings, with natural Brazilian pink tourmalines; in the center with one emerald step cut (12 x 6 x 4 mm) and the sides with two squared step cut (6 x 6 x 4 mm). The three tourmalines are gem quality, loupe clean, transparents and have a combined weight of 4.34 carats.
The total weight of this ring is 8.4 grams and the actual size is 6.75, sizable. The top view measurements are 7 mm by 22 mm (0.27 x 0.87 Inches).
Stamped with the maker's mark, the hallmark for the gold assay and signed in full, "TIFFANY CO. PALOMA PICASSO .750".
Paloma Picasso was the Daughter of the artists Pablo Picasso and Françoise Gilot. Paloma has been a creative force since the day she was born. Growing up in France, she was surrounded by art and was always encouraged to create herself, which she did with great enthusiasm—firstly, with childhood drawings and, later, through her now iconic jewelry collections for tiffany. Embodying the art and culture movement of the 1980s in New York city, Paloma was a progressive choice for Tiffany Co.
Tiffany Notes: "Through exuberant color and unexpected gemstone combinations, the Paloma‘s Studio collection celebrates the designer‘s joy
