This denim is so soft!!! It's substantial and thick like 100% cotton is known for, but it's not stiff and rigid like 100% cotton tends to be. It's soft to the touch and drapes beautifully. These are marked size 25. That said, the Sid Jean is very oversized. You will wear it low on the hips if you're a true 25. I wear a 29 in other brands of denim (Paige, Frame, Free People) and I can wear these and zip them up on my 29" waist and 39" hips. It fits more high-waiated and snug than relaxed at this size, but it can work if that's the look you're going for.
