Thin black sweater, size XL, silver J, classic, 90s, retro

This retro sweater from the 90s is also a nod back to the 70s. it has a silver embroidered J on the upper left, and is otherwise a simple knit. It's a thin but sturdy and soft construction. I've owned it since the 90s and found it to be very comfortable. There's a little stretch to it, which is nice. It can be casual or mildly dressy.
