Tears at the very top of the spine cover, stains on endpapers, and fading and marks on cover as shown in photos. Inside label from Princeton Antiques Bookshop. Inspired by a Hindu legend, the novel tells the story of two Indian friends who decide to decapitate themselves. They awaken from their attempted suicide to find their heads restored, but to the wrong body. Mann explores the relationship between spirit, body, and mind in this 196-page text.
