It tells the story of an unlikely friendship between Diva, a small house-loving guard dog in Paris, and Flea, a large, wandering street cat who considers himself a "flâneur" (one who wanders the streets to see what there is to see). The book explores themes of friendship, bravery, and stepping outside one's comfort zone, as Diva learns to explore the city and Flea learns to appreciate the comforts of a home.
