recherchejk Happy Sunday! I just thought that perhaps they both made a cacoon somewhere and developed into that beautiful moth. It was full size and eating the leaves, so maybe it was getting ready to molt. This beauty is why so many jewelers model pieces after insects.

ericahoracek @sbrnakiss it's the biggest north American moth, called cecropia. Caterpillar eats all kinds of trees/bushes. I am in southern ohio.
