Plot Summary The movie follows the hobbit Frodo Baggins, who inherits a powerful and dangerous magical ring from his uncle, Bilbo Baggins. Frodo is tasked with destroying the Ring by taking it to Mount Doom in the land of Mordor, the only place where it can be unmade. To aid him on his quest, a group of companions is formed, known as the Fellowship of the Ring.
