What is the pit to pit when zipped up?

Is the collar of this jacket darker than the rest of the jacket? There are also areas that appear darker, and I’m not sure if it’s from the lighting when the picture was taken or if the areas are actually darker than the rest of the jacket. Are there any stains on it?
