The Congressional Cook Book National and International Recipes 1933 edition

The Congressional Cook Book National and International Recipes Compiled and Published by the Congressional Club 1933. Foreword by Eleanor Roosevelt. The Congressional Club membership includes wives and daughters of US Senators, Representatives, Delegates and Commissioners in Congress, the wives of Supreme Court Justices, and the wives of the Presidential Cabinet. This vintage cook book contains recipes submitted by members of the club from 1908 through 1927. There are several sections in this book, as well as the recipes. My favorite is the section Social Suggestions that includes protocol. There is an advertisement section in the back of the book as well. This book is in very good condition for its age, with no stains or tears on any of the pages. The binding is good and intact. The spine is faded from decades of storage on a bookshelf. There is a name written on the first page of the book. There is some shelf wear on the cover as would be expected. This book would make a great addition to any cookbook collection.
