Or just go into electrical shop and pay someone to do it! High doesn't heat very high. Low setting works normally. Beautiful Chestnut brown glaze on heavy high quality clay pot. No cracks. No chips. No scratches. I couldn't get myself to throw this icon away. Perfect time machine object for someone. Priced right.
