Tetsubin Japanese Cast Iron Kettle Tea Pot Marked w/ Teal Stainless Infuser

Japanese-style cast iron teapot, also known as a Tetsubin. This type of teapot is traditionally used in Japan for boiling water for tea and is known for its excellent heat retention properties. Many modern versions, like the one pictured, also include a stainless steel infuser for brewing loose leaf tea. The distinctive teal color of this particular teapot, along with its texture and design, suggests it might be a specific style or brand. All around great teapot. I’ve enjoyed using it on my gas stove. Unfortunately it doesn’t whistle and my ADD brain needs a signal for when my tea is ready. There is a little rust around the under rim of tea infuser.
