Taxco Sterling Hook-and-Eye Bangle with Black Gem 10g

This vintage Taxco bangle has more presence than one might expect from 10 grams of sterling, owing to its clever design. An oval gem is mirrored on either side by two silver circles, one of which is the eye for the hook closure. I believe the black gem is resin, given the marks on its surface. (Onyx would be harder to scratch, at 6.5-7 on the Mohs scale). It is not unusual to find in decent Taxco jewelry and is a more affordable choice. I'll send short instructions on slipping the bracelet on without warping it.
