This is a substantial vintage sterling silver and black onyx circle brooch from Taxco, Mexico. The design features a large, central black onyx cabochon bezel-set within a heavy silver border. The border is composed of repeating geometric "H" or bone-shaped links with silver bead accents, giving it a distinct Modernist or Aztec Revival aesthetic. Convertible Design The piece features a pin mechanism with a rolling safety clasp for wear as a brooch. It also includes a fixed bail on the back, allowing it to be worn as a pendant on a chain (chain not included).
