@michjprieto Yes! It’s funny how I kept some from the 90s and my daughter steals them now to wear them! 😊

@socalstyle4moms Aw Thank you so much! I’m from NJ so I may look like someone you know. 🤷🏻♀️

@mlb1006 yeah I even looked to see where you were from but my ex-husband worked for Major League Baseball and we traveled everywhere so it wouldn't be uncommon to run into people I've met here online. But it's been so long ago that it's a rarity when I run into somebody. But I have to say I was never in New Jersey, New York with the closest. I was actually there on 9/11 in Times Square after seeing the city for a week. Crazy

@socalstyle4moms oh wow that’s scary! I’m about an hour from NYC. I love every time we visit! There’s so much to see. I use to live in North Jersey when I was younger and it would take 15 minutes to get there!

@mlb1006 yeah it was pretty scary. That day I had been there a week and I should say that morning I was taking a direct flight home to San Diego and he was going to his next city as he was an Umpire I think Florida was his next stop. To the first plane hit when we were checking out of our hotel and then the second plane hit when we got no more than a couple blocks in the limo......

@mlb1006 needless to say we were stuck in Time Square, of course on a lower floor. We thought the whole world was ending with all the news and family couldn't get through to me on my cell phone. We were supposed to go to the World Trade Center the night before but opted for the Empire State Building. It was pretty wild and I'll never forget it. My son was in my belly I was 6 months pregnant....m

@mlb1006 they were bomb threat all week long and I've never seen Time Squares so quiet. All we heard we're sirens for those four days. Oddly enough we ran into the guy who introduced my husband and I couple years prior who didn't even know when you've gotten married and we're having a baby. We walked onto the elevator to check into our new room and there was Jeff on the same elevator. As you can imagine it was surreal being all the way from San Diego all three of us....

@mlb1006 all three of us being on the same elevator at the same time. We ended over at Denny's in Times Square together as we all watched The Towers crumble just 40 blocks away from where all the Mayhem was happening. We snuck out in the middle of the night Just 4 days later and took a train to Philadelphia where we got a flight out finally. When I finally got in the air it all hit me and I just started sobbing.

@mlb1006 I haven't been back since I would very much like to go see the memorial made built. Sorry to be so chatty but it's just something that will be in my memory forever. I thought maybe with your username being MLB 1006 maybe you or your husband was employed by MLB and perhaps that is how I met or saw you but definitely not so it was nice telling you my story. I learned to never take anybody or anything for granted:) God bless

@socalstyle4moms Oh my goodness I can imagine how stressful that day must have been. You were all very lucky. Thank goodness you were able to catch a plane back home. We were just at the memorial a few weeks ago while staying in the City for the night. Definitely a site to see.
