THIS IS PROBABLY A STERLING PLATE VINTAGE BREADBASKET WHICH I HAVE HAD FOR MANY YEARS. IT IS IN GOOD VINTAGE CONDITION BUT COULD USE A POLISHING. IT MEASURES 11" LONG AND 7-1/4" AT ITS WIDEST POINT. THERE ARE NO MARKING ON THE BREADBASKET.

After I got your message, I checked for hallmarks but none appear on the piece so no guarantee that it is not silverplate.
